Edina finishes regular season undefeated!

Edina Varsity vs Eden Prairie Varsity 95-0

Edina Varsity posted their largest score of the season against Eden Prairie on Friday evening. The team showed they could score from a wide range of options with players from various positions all dotting down tries including Scrum Half, Lemoto Fuluvaka (jr.) and Flanker Nick Bloom (so.) both with 3 tries a piece. Edina put pressure on EP early causing a turnover in which Theo Madison quickly pouched and turned the corner for an early try. Another quick try came through good hands from the backs to outside center, Evan Holm dotting down his try. An EP penalty lead to another try by front rower, Devan Hunt who quick tapped and crashed over the line. Edina would go on post 57 points in the first half through 9 tries and 6 conversions. The 2nd half saw all 7 replacements coming into the match and Edina would go on to score 6 more tries and convert 4 of them. Eden Prairie had better possession and mounted a few good series of attacks in the 2nd half. Edina will host Southside Rugby Club in their quarter final match this week.

Edina JV vs Eagan JV 65-5

A very aggressive Edina defense put a lot of pressure on the Eagan side and held them within their own half of the field. The scoring got underway early as Edina put in 9 tries in the first half. All players were subbed in at half-time so everyone got good playing time and Edina posted 4 more tries in the 2nd half and allowed 1 last minute try as time expired.
